Within the limits of the program under energy conservation on the Moscow underground TRINOVA Company has performed works on reconstruction of illumination at the PROSPECT MIRA METRO STATION (the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line).
At the station the illumination system is completely executed on the reflected light. The fixtures are established in pylons’ cornices. Before reconstruction in cornices the fixtures with lamps of type LB-40 and LB-80 with electromagnetic motor-starting devices have been established. During the works the old lamps and motor-starting devices had been completely substituted for modern highly effective lamps of series Т5 of 35 Vt and EVG. To improve the reflective properties and convenience in operation, special aluminum designs, which were established in cornices and on which the lamps and EVG take place, have been designed.
As a result at the station it was possible to lower the electrical consumption almost twice. The light exposure on a platform and in a hall has increased from 60 Lk to 200 Lk.
